CineNexus Privacy Policy

1. What this Policy covers

CineNexus is a video editor for working with media you choose on your device. The current app does not require an account or login and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. It displays advertisements.

The app does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK. This does not describe or rule out information processing associated with advertising, email services, the website host, or services you choose to use outside the app; those activities are addressed below.

2. Videos, editing, and exported files

CineNexus accesses the media you select or authorize so you can edit it and create an output. Video editing takes place on your device. CineNexus does not upload your videos to our servers for editing.

Files you export to your photo library or another location are stored in the destination you select. If you use an iOS sharing option, the app or service you choose receives the material you share and handles it under its own terms and privacy practices.

Device backups, iCloud settings, and synchronization performed by iOS or another service are controlled separately from CineNexus. They can affect where copies of your media are stored.

3. Advertising

CineNexus displays advertisements. When an advertisement is loaded through an online service, your device makes a network request to that service. The service receives connection information needed to return a response, such as the IP address from which the request arrives. This describes online ad delivery; it does not mean that every advertisement is delivered in the same way.

If you choose to open an advertisement, the advertiser or destination service receives the information associated with that visit. Its own privacy notice applies to what you do on that destination. Advertising does not require CineNexus to upload the videos you are editing to our servers.

Where an advertising use requires consent or permission under applicable law or iOS rules, that requirement applies separately from your use of the editing features. Merely accepting app terms or viewing an advertisement is not consent to tracking. If iOS presents a tracking permission request, you can allow or decline it and manage the relevant choice in iOS Settings.

For questions about an advertisement or the information associated with it, contact spanntoon@icloud.com. Including where and when the advertisement appeared can help us address your request; do not send sensitive material that is unrelated to the issue.

4. Support messages and website requests

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue you report, and maintain the correspondence needed to handle your request. Your email service and our email service also process the message to deliver it.

When you visit our website, the hosting service receives the normal request information needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, and browser information included in the request headers. This request context is used for page delivery and can be used to maintain service security and diagnose delivery problems.

Our website pages do not load script-based analytics or set analytics or advertising cookies. This statement concerns our own website pages, rather than an external website you may choose to visit through a link.

5. How information is used and shared

The activities described above support video editing and export on your device, advertising, answering support requests, delivering and protecting the website, and meeting applicable legal obligations. We do not require you to send your editing media to us to obtain support; describe the issue first and share only what is necessary.

Information can be handled by the service involved in the activity, including an online ad-delivery service, email services, the website host, or a sharing destination you select. When we engage a service provider to process personal information on our behalf, we require protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law and limit its use to the relevant service.

We may disclose information in our possession when legally required, to respond to a valid legal request, or when necessary and lawful to protect people, our services, or legal rights. We do not grant advertisers rights to the footage you edit by providing the editing app.

6. Media permissions and your choices

Media access depends on the files you select and the permissions you grant in iOS. You can use the choices offered by the system and change relevant permissions in iOS Settings. Limiting or withdrawing access can prevent CineNexus from opening the affected files or saving an output to that location.

Withdrawing a permission limits subsequent access; it does not remove a file you already exported, recall material you shared with another service, or erase a message you already sent to support. Those copies need to be managed in the location or service that holds them.

7. Retention and deletion

Media and editing files stored on your device remain subject to your device storage and the controls available for those files. You can remove exported files from the destination where you saved them. Deleting CineNexus can remove its app-managed local data, but does not necessarily delete exports, copies held by another app, or device and cloud backups.

We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve and follow up on the request, maintain relevant support records, and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete information we hold by emailing spanntoon@icloud.com. We will explain any information that must be retained and the reason, where the law permits.

Retention of website request records and information processed by an external advertising or destination service depends on that service’s role and applicable requirements. You may contact us for help directing a request to the relevant service. We cannot delete copies that are solely under your control or held independently by a service you chose to use.

8. Security and service locations

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information we handle to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device protected and take care before sending media or personal information by email or to another service.

Email, hosting, and advertising services can operate in countries other than the one where you live. Where we arrange a transfer of personal information that requires legal safeguards, we are responsible for applying the safeguards required by applicable law. Contact us if you need information about a transfer relevant to your use of CineNexus.

9. Privacy rights and requests

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you; to restrict or object to certain processing; or to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant privacy authority.

Send requests to spanntoon@icloud.com. Tell us the request and the information or interaction it concerns. We may need a proportionate way to verify that the request relates to you before disclosing or changing personal information. You do not need to create an account to make a request.

10. Children and young users

Where a child or young person uses CineNexus, applicable rules on age, capacity, and parental or guardian involvement still apply. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided us with personal information may contact spanntoon@icloud.com so we can review the circumstances and take appropriate action under applicable law.

This Policy does not assign an age rating to the app. Please consult its current App Store age rating and the device settings appropriate for the person using it.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this Policy when the app, our information practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. We will provide any additional notice or obtain any further consent required for a material change.
